FIFI CONCLAVE

The FIFI (Forum of Indian Food Importers) Conclave with global food brands, importers, distributors and
retailers: Rising incomes, globalisation of tastes, emergence of quality shopping spaces, and health and
nutrition concerns have led to a rise in interest and demand for global cuisine experiences. Given the vast
diversity in both the geographical and culinary preferences, how we can tap the opportunities in foreign food
retail? The FIFI Conclave will discuss the scope and challenges in the foreign food business and strategise ways
to expand demand and consumption -- which continues to grow, and not just among the wealthy Indian classes,
but also a rising number of aspirational middle-class Indians.
GLOBAL GAP CONCLAVE

Managing the complexity of food quality is a serious challenge for manufacturers and retailers in India.
Incorporating quality assurance processes – from raw material to the finished good (RM to FG) – is the key
towards consistent and uniform food products. Given the rising preference for better and safe attributes in food
products, it is critical that companies enable not only their production processes, but the entire supply chain
as well on foundations of quality. This session will deliberate on the aspects of food safety regulations and the
impact that they may have on the industry.
NRAI CONCLAVE

The past few years have witnessed the explosive growth of new concepts in India´s HoReCa sector – with new
concepts driving innovation across hospitality, restaurants and catering services. Coupled with the entry of
major international restaurant brands, this trend is spawning the come of age of foodservice in India. The
annual conclave of National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) will bring the finest of Indian restaurateurs
together to talk about the conception and evolution of the sector, what drives it, how can they be further
elevated, and the sustainability of such theme- and concept-driven restaurants.
PLMA CONCLAVE
Private Labels, Differentiation & Challenges: Private label penetration worldwide registered tremendous
growth during the past two years. Shoppers across the world turned to retailer- and wholesaler-brand products
when the downturn forced them to rank price savings and value-for-money ahead of all else in their shopping
lists. As economic conditions improve, what can private labels do to make sure that they leverage the inroads
made in the recent past? Can recent gains be not just retained, but also enhanced? What are private labels
doing right? Where could they be going wrong? These strategic issues will be examined from the perspective of
retailers, manufacturers and consumers at PLMA (Private Label Manufacturers´ Association) Conclave.
