With the increasing demand of wines & to cater to the growing interest of wines in retail houses & restaurants it is our privilege to announce the sub-event in Food & Grocery Forum India, 2012, the premiere food & grocery trade show in India. Wine Village is being featured for the first time at Food & Grocery Forum, 2012, on popular demand from the industry. A dedicated feature on wines, Wine Village aims to actively promote the industry in this thriving region.

ULTIMATE INDIAN WINE COMPETITION
This will be a one-of-its-kind 'Indian wines only' competition. Indian wineries need to send in their entries (labels/wine varietals) for the competition by paying a nominal entry/registration fee. The wines will be segregated into several non-contemporary categories & judged accordingly. All wines will be tasted blind (unseen) to ensure unbiased decisions. Wines will be judged by a panel of Indian and international wine experts and sommeliers. French Certified Sommeliers will be moderators for the complete event and there will also be a panelist.

GUIDED TASTING SESSIONS
There will be guided tasting sessions for guests visiting the show. These sessions will last for up to 45 minutes, will be designed especially for consumers and will be kept simple. They will be fun, anecdotal, quirky yet informative. We can taste wines, spirits and beers during these sessions.
GUIDED WINE SAFARI
Wine Safari will be a unique experience where trade clients will be taken on a guided trail by a sommelier to visit stands of various wine companies. This 30 minute trail will focus on interacting with company representatives for no more than 5 minutes per company and introducing their products to the clients. This will ensure that the participating companies get ample visibility, visiting clients get to interact with potential suppliers and mutual business connections are established.
WINE-CENTRIC CONFERENCE
A sommelier will moderate a face-off between the three fronts of wine business of vintners in the country: Wine Industry Policy Makers, International Trade Commissioner in India from an embassy and a domestic distributor.
